Sydney’s Bike Education & Safety Specialists

The Pedal Set Go team has years of experience helping people of all ages learn to ride — and ride better — in the city, safely and with confidence. We provide inclusive bike riding lessons, guided rides, e-bike safety training, and bike maintenance courses throughout Sydney.

Our instructors bring a rare mix of practical know-how, teaching skill, and community spirit. We work with beginners, returning riders, and those looking to improve their urban riding skills. Whether it’s your first time on a bike or you’re exploring cargo or e-bike use, our goal is to make every session safe, enjoyable, and empowering.

Our Wider Team & Event Capacity

Pedal Set Go is more than just Jules and Li — we work with a talented and diverse group of instructors and specialists who bring their time, skills, and knowledge to our programs. Our team includes bicycle advocates, bike mechanics, behaviour change and health professionals, ride leaders, a national series MTB champion, world expedition bike riders, and educators.

We have the capacity to deliver large-scale events, manage multiple programs at once, and provide professional support for festivals, workplace initiatives, and city-wide cycling events. Our flexible team structure means we can scale up quickly without compromising quality or safety.

Together, we deliver bike riding lessons, guided rides, e-bike safety courses, and bike maintenance programs across Sydney — ensuring every participant gets the inclusive, professional service Pedal Set Go is known for.

Jules Lawrence Founder | Lead Educator

Jules brings contagious enthusiasm, inclusivity, and approachability to bike education. She began riding in her 30s, transitioning from motorbikes to bicycles while living in Europe. Her passion for riding took her from London to Sydney in 18 months, proving that adventure can start at your own front door.

A qualified cabinetmaker in a past life, Jules applies her craftsmanship and a strong sense of health and safety to every session. She often rides her self-built bamboo bikes, folding bikes, e-bikes, and cargo bikes, reflecting her commitment to sustainable and unique cycling experiences.

Teaching someone to ride can be a nervous journey, but Jules transforms fear into fun. Her teaching style is inclusive, supportive, and practical — every wobble is simply a step closer to two-wheeled triumph.

Li Ditlef-Nielsen Partner | Educator

Li has been riding in cities since the age of 12 and has explored the world by bike. Before becoming an expedition cyclist, she worked as a London cycle messenger and trained at the Brixton Cycle Co-op. As Pedal Set Go’s lead maintenance instructor, Li helps riders unlock the skills to maintain their own bikes and feel confident on any journey.

She is an enthusiastic tourer, taking on everything from festival trips to cross-continental adventures. Steering clear of lycra, Li embraces the challenge of carrying diverse cargo — from cats to cupcakes — and is a dedicated cargo and e-bike user. Her health background adds insight into the physical and mental benefits of riding.

Li also co-designed and built the bamboo bikes that carried her and Jules safely from London to Sydney without a major mechanical issue — a testament to her technical skills and spirit of adventure.
