Supporting Parramatta’s Shift to Active Transport: Share the Path with Pedal Set Go

Transport, congestion and getting around are some of the top concerns for Parramatta residents—and we’re proud to be part of the solution. Through the Share the Path program, Pedal Set Go is partnering with the City of Parramatta to promote safe, respectful and sustainable ways to move through the city.

The Share the Path initiative encourages everybody—whether riding, walking, or wheeling—to look out for each other on shared paths. It's about making space, being predictable, and acknowledging that everybody has a right to get around safely.

Northside Produce Market

Northside produce market is the place to go for free bike safety checks. Check in and tune up on Saturday mornings for safety bike tips, learn to ride advice and more. While your bicycle gets some love support local and get some fresh produce at these community markets. Pedal Set Go appreciates the support of North Sydney Council in providing these free services to the public.

City of Canada Bay

City of Canada Bay providing free bike tune ups and maintenance workshops, kids bike safety tips and more at their On your bike events. Pedal Set Go loved taking part and giving advice on learning to ride safely and with confidence.

Brought to you by the Cooks River Alliance, the vibrant Wurridjal Festival along the Cooks River, is a celebration that brings together the robust communities and thriving ecologies of the area. During March and April the festival happenings stretches from Gamay Botany Bay to the Yana Badu wetlands in Chullora, offering a wide range of events that promise to enrich and inspire.

The Wurridjal Festival commemorates a pivotal time of year when the Cooks River becomes the migration path for thousands of mullet – 'Wurridjal' in the local Aboriginal languages – as they embark on their pre-spawning journey along Australia's east coast. This natural phenomenon has, for millennia, underscored the river's significance as a bountiful resource and a vital food source for Aboriginal communities.

With a focus on rekindling connections to First Nations wisdom and fostering stewardship of the land, the festival invites everyone to partake in a collective effort to honor and care for Country. Engage with the rich cultural heritage and ecological wisdom of the Sydney region through a series of immersive experiences designed to celebrate and preserve the vibrant life of Cooks River and its surroundings.
